Do you agree or disagree? In order to succeed, you should be more like others than be different from everyone else.
Contrary with the opinion of many people is my heartfelt objection to the view that one should be more like others than be different from everyone else to succeed for the following two reasons.
First, to be successful, one should have the courage to carry out creative and innovative decision in the first place, and this will make one's characteristic and experience different from others. Doing what has already been done can not help one to become successful for he or she may just follow the experience of precursors. For instance, when computers were far from common people's life, Bill Gates thought about the operating system of personal computers. He then dropped out of university to fulfill his plan, and finally, he succeed. The Microsoft has become a world-wide-known company and the Windows OS occupied a large percentage of the OS market. If Bill Gates did come out with the idea of operating system of personal computer or when he got the idea, he did not give up his university education and went to school just like other students around him, there might be no Windows series now. All these things he has done make him different from everyone else and no one can deny his success.
Besides, in most conditions, one can not make great achievement all by himself. And those who get the characteristics of a leader are more likely to gain respect and trust from others. This would surely make him or her much different from everyone else. Imagine that you work for a boss who is nearly the same with you: same background, same education, same ability and same experience! Would you be willing to work for him? I believe you must consider about job hopping or even consider about starting your own business. If one wants to become successful, he may have to cooperate with others. Those different characteristics will help him a lot in gainig assistance.
From what has discussed above, we can safely draw the conclusion that to succeed, one must have something different from everyone else, or he will just become a common person like others.

Instead of spending money on exploration of outer space, government should spend money on environment.
Contrary with the view of many people is my heartfelt objection to the idea that government should spend money on environment instead of spending money on exploration of outer space for the following two reasons.
First, if government spend more money on exploration of outer space, there is a strong possibility that we find a new planet that is generally the same with the earth, so we can immigrate to that planet. I am a science fiction fan and I believe such stories told in science fiction will come true sooner or later. Mars, for instance, has many interesting parallels with Earth. There must be more planets suitable for human beings to live on and we just know nothing about them. The more government spend on exploration of outer space, the sooner they will be found. Meanwhile, if we all immigrate to a new planet, there is no need to worry about the environment problems on Earth. We can start a totally new life in our new home.
Besides, exploration of outer space may have more influence than we thought. Even if people can not find the right planet for immigrants in a short run, the exploration of outer space still benefits a lot. By exploring into the world we have never seen or known before, we expose ourselves to more experience and knowledge which may someday totally change the human history. People used to consider the earth flat, but they explore the world bravely so can we gain our current knowledge. We know as little about the universe as those who thought the earth was the center of the universe.
However, environment protection is crucial at the same time. Spending more money on exploration of outer space does not mean that government can ignore environment problems. After all, Earth is our home now. It is significant to protect her from being harmed so we can live a healthy and easy life.
From what have been discussed above, we can safely draw the conclusion that government should spend money on exploration of outer space instead of spending money on environment.

Do you agree the only effective way to encourage energy conservation is by increasing prices of gasoline and electricity?Contrary with the opinion of many people is my heartfelt objection to the idea that increasing prices of gasoline and electricity is the only effective way to encourage energy conservation for this method may have potential adverse effects and it is obvious that increasing prices cannot be the only effective way.
First, by increasing prices of gasoline and electricity, the price of everyday life will increase, too. The common people have to pay more for electricity they need for lighting and pay more to go to work by car or bus. Meanwhile, petroleum companies and electric power companies could earn far more money than before. People may feel it is unfair and this emotion may harm social stability. There were news about some criminals who were cornered by poverty tried to attack innocent people to revenge on society. If the prices of gasoline and electricity are increased, life will become harder and similar extreme action may take place more frequently.
In addition, there are many other ways to help energy conservation. First, if the importance of energy conservation is effectively propagated, we can rely on the consciousness of public without increase the price of everyday life. Second, if more efforts is put into the research of energy, the cost of refining or regenerating energy can be reduced and new energy like hydrogen can be put into widely use or even replace ignited resources. This is the only way to totally solve energy problem.
However, increasing prices of gasoline and electricity will work effectively in a short run. When energy become more expensive, people will tend to save gasoline or electricity. This really helps to conserve energy. But in the long run, I believe this will cause some unexpected effects.
By what have been discussed above, we can safely draw the conclusion that it is not true that only by increasing prices of gasoline and electricity can we conserve energy effectively.

Do you agree or disagree that a teacher who is serious and strict is more efficient or effective than a teacher who is humor and easygoing?
Contract with the opinion of many people is my heartfelt objection to the idea that a serious and strict teachers are usually more efficient for a teacher who is humorous and easygoing makes students feel less stressful and more interested on the subject he teaches, although we have to take strict teachers' strong points into consideration, too.
First, teaching by a serious and strict teacher, students always feel that they are forced to study and this consequently leads to low efficiency. Students may conflict with the teacher consciously or unconsciously by not obeying the teacher's words or other similar acts. On the other hand, however, a humorous teacher gives more room and freedom to students which makes them feel they are totally respected and more willing to finish the given task.
In addition, a humorous and easygoing teacher is more likely to intrigue students' interest. By teaching in a humorous and friendly way, the teacher gives students an impression that this subject is really interesting. With an interest, the learning process becomes more enjoyable and students can do better in an easier way. Great interest causes great passion too. This passion pushes students to achieve more contribution and success will follow. For instance, when I was in high school, we had a great physics teacher who always made everyone laugh, so we were more concentrated during his class. After graduation, some of my classmates even choose physics as their major which is normally believed to be tedious and tough.
However, strict teachers also have their own strong points. Students are more likely to finish homework in time and receive good marks during the exam under a strict requirement. But as it is the fear towards the teacher which guarantees all these, students may not benefit much in the long run.
All in all, according to what has been discussed above, we can safely draw the conclusion that, usually, a humorous and easygoing teacher can be the more efficient one and can effect the students in a most positive way.
